It's the best country music mix I've heard. Absolutely love the format, the people, and the music."

Jim Casey
Afternoons

Jim Casey is the afternoon host of Cumulus Media Networks' Real Country.

Jim admits that he decided on a career in radio when he was younger because it seemed like "a fun and easy job.

" "A junior high school speech teacher told me that I had a good voice for radio," he recalls. "I thought, ,

'Well, that isn't really working - I could do that!'"

Although he's entertaining on the air, Jim is serious when talking about his 20-year radio career.

In addition to being part of the Cumulus Media Networks' Country air staff since the mid '80s, he programmed KKYX-AM in San Antonio.

This station is legendary for its signal that covered all of South Texas. More than 30 years later, Jim has changed his opinion about the ,

difficulty of working in radio."It sounds easy to be on the air," Jim says. "But it's a hard thing to learn to do."

Hard work doesn't prevent Jim from having fun on the air. Listeners who tune into the program are likely to get lots of laughs,

along with their country music favorites.
