KCTI AM 1450 first went on the air in December, 1947 through the combined effort of Lawrence Walshak and his brother-in-law, Frank Wilson. The station was purchased in 1998 by Gonzale Communications. Today, KCTI AM 1450 continues to be locally owned and operated, as it has since its beginning. KCTI-AM 1450 covers everything from Seguin to Schulenburg and Lockhart to Cuero.
